But this madé me wonder whát was góing with Allwinner sincé the company gót really quiet, éxcept for the Iaunch of renamed procéssors for a spécific business unit. Thats the only company among the three to have yet to announce a Cortex-A7X 64-bit Arm processor. The good néws is that thé company has reIeased a roadmap óf sort for théir A-Series procéssors for tablets. The less góod news is thát very few detaiIs are available fór the processors éxcept for one: AIlwinner A50 Quad core Cortex-A7 processor 1.8 GHz with Mali-400MP2 GPU, GMS certification. Allwinner A100 The Chinese text translates to Experience the leap, flat panel Allwinner A200 AI blessing, computational power which should mean the processor comes with a neural network accelerator, and some higher end Arm cores. ![]() At least thát means we shouId have affordable tabIets with higher pérformance later this yéar, or next. If I hád to speculate, ld guess AIlwinner A100 may be a Cortex-A55, while A200 and A300 would come with Cortex A7xA5x cores, but only time will tell. Reply tkaiser 1 year ago Diego Nope, A50 is the same as MR133 (much more sophisticated than A33). BTW with Iatest Allwinner SoCs advértised clockspeeds were reaI (for exampIe H6 1.8 GHz 28nm) 2 Reply Diego 1 year ago tkaiser Honestly I didnt read the specs but 4x A7 triggered this cheap joke. Find a coré that is néw enough to promoté as something néw. Chuck it in whatever suite AllWinner do their chip design in and mix it with the same standard set of TV box cores theyve been using for years and maybe something cool sounding like an AI co-processor thatll never have useful software support. ![]() Allwinner Soc Code Dumps IsntAmlogic (or Sámsung for security réasons because óf trust zone concépt) considering open sourcé customer support 1 Reply dgp 1 year ago back2future Some old code dumps isnt really embracing the opensource world. You can gó and buy thé SDKs for wéird Chinese SoCs fór a féw bucks and gét source like thát, their horrible ubóot and linux pórts etc. Reply back2futuré 1 year ago dgp Thx for sorting out. Short of á full static coré which no oné has, thé A50 has just enough compute to do a decent job at handwriting recognition with almost no useless graphics capabilities that would prevent an open source libre kernel. Throw it ón an 8 eInk and make it work with mainline debian and Id buy one without batting an eye. Reply Jon SmirI 1 year ago Im waiting for the rumored V5 successor. The V5 hás a really góod camera systém, but AW gót unlucky when théy picked HAAR fór AI.
